I just wish our esteemed leaders both in the public and private sector would have this conversation. Are there any plutocrats left who want to help empower people less fortunate as their lasting legacy? Or will we blow up one more final time as the middle class gives up?

thom hartmann is a very smart individual. i read the cover and pretty much agree with everything it said. however, i have zero faith that anyone is going to step forward and provide the moral leadership that would be required to change our course.

"Only if the right reforms are enacted and the moral choices are made, can we avert disaster and make our nation whole again."

those currently in power have nothing to gain by allowing moral leadership to interrupt their hoggish behavior. and they will fight to the death to maintain their control and their privilege. should such a moral person step forward, that person would be ripped to shreds by the threatened ones...the propaganda would be in full swing. and people watch too much tv and do too little critical thinking.

i don't know what the future holds...but it's best to be prepared.
