There are small very nationalist right wing parties in Ukraine, offshoots of the Kozaks (Bogdan Khmelnitsky en.wikipedia.org ) how much they truly adopt the Arial doctrine is still an open question IMHO, even that in anger and as provocation they use some symbolic gesture.

One should remember that in Russia an ALL RUSSIAN youth movement is supported by the government that propagates extreme nationalism "Nashi" Youth Democratic Anti-Fascist Movement established in Russia shortly after the Orange Revolution in Ukraine en.wikipedia.org

As history has proven there was no Ukrainian Empire to the contrary Ukraine was always cut in pieces and conquered by various armies, hardly an aggressive nation by historic evidence.True in crimea there where the Tatars a warmongering small nation.

Historically Ukraine is composed of many minorities who the Russians forced to adopt the Russian language. As an example in the regions north of Romania in most cities over 30% of the population was Jewish. Chernivtsi en.wikipedia.org and Odessa en.wikipedia.org where big Jewish cultural centers similar to Vienna Budapest or Prague etc.,Several Nobel Prize scientist came or where born in those cities en.wikipedia.org en.wikipedia.org

Many of those parts of Ukraine are actually historically belong to Romania or Poland

Hungary, Austria Poland Lithuania, Russia where much more war inclined nations to pillage the riches of their neighboring nations
