Price increase isn't enough. They changed something in the full knowledge they would have to cancel you because of it. Which is likely why they made the changes.

So this is an issue with your insurance company.

He unconditionally promised that if your policy was in effect when the ACA passed, you would be able to keep it. Even if your policy had changed afterwards, under certain circumstances they still can be grandfathered. Sounds like your insurance company is playing you for a sucker. Your issue is with them.
