Well, if you are looking for a protracted bear market, no, the wonderful thing is you don't have to be in and out in a second. I let the manager worry over the sixty or so short positions--let him get out in a second if one of them takes off.

BEARX usually goes up much more than the S&P goes down, and when the broader markets go up it doesn't lose as much as they go up.

But you do have to be a bona fide bear. None of this cross-dressing like a bull.
