Every company takes an iterative approach to a certain extent but Samsung takes it to an extreme.
From my point of view Samsung seems to take the permutative approach or "make everything and see what sticks". I do respect that the Galaxy series of phones have become further refined over the past few years, but they have a long history of creating hundreds of models simultaneously.

It just doesn't sound like there's a lot of internal selection - they just ship and let the market decide.
