The validity of peer review depends on the ability, rigor and integrity of the peerage...

One of the "inconvenient truths" being revealed in the current debate... is that the peerage in science today is about equally as capable, as rigorous in thought, with the same level of integrity and relevance in modern reality as the eighteenth century peerage of the European aristocracy had...

The academy is broken... and badly... which is not at all surprising to those who truly understand it.

Note that what you see in the result appears that it is an instance in which the lack of ability to obstruct and suppress truth (or, ACTUAL debate) on the internet... means that failed institutions that still operate primarily through division by politics and thus by suppression of truth... are going to be revealed as having failed ?

The ideological reality... is that the real "peers" in science... are the skeptics who understand the structure and operation of the logic of science... and apply (and require) rigor in application of the scientific method.

Cyril Labbé is a peer... (who is succeeding in proving the "peerage" is peopled with pretenders)...

Al Gore... is not.
