Everyone has been waiting for a serious Liquid Metal anything.... for years.
Maybe Apple bought it and killed it to deny others the technology..... thats what it seems.

I had no idea that thermal expansion is such a big problem.... maybe on CPU's of heavy duty computers but on micro electronics?! Or is this simply a silly article?

So Apple is getting into Liquid Metal Injection molds???? - The world seem to be going with additive 3D printing....

Where do people get this stuff...

And the only metal which can be injection molded like plastic, having low-shrinkage and the same thermal expansion rate as sapphire is Liquidmetal!

I believe that Apple implemented the whole plastic injection molding infrastructure for the iPhone 5C only in order to gradually and secretly upgrade it with new Liquidmetal injection molding modules, to be then able to suddenly produce Liquidmetal cases instead of plastic housings.

As shown in above context, it wouldn`t be possible to introduce sapphire displays together with plastic or aluminium cases. What it needs to master and to mount the sapphire crystal, is a really strong material like Liquidmetal, which can be molded over the sapphire, to seamlessly rim it to one integral piece.
