Not true, the 5 is 6 months older than the S4 yet has higher salvage value and it has had comparable cost as far as I know. Even going back a year to the 4S, it has higher resale value than the S3, and that's a phone that currently retails for $400 in some places. Seems to me that the CEO of gazelle is wrong.
