Thanks for the info. I sit corrected on the origins of sterilization.

I disagree, of course, that ending welfare (going forward), is some kind of "evil" directed at the helpless. My view is that it would "cure" (eventually) their helplessness.

It really irks me that welfare supporters won't agree to some kind(s) of objective measurement as to whether current policies are providing effective solutions.
