Fred, I was just making an observation about quality companies that sold off. Beyond a short lived up move, most of them took time recouping their losses and (in fact) drifted about 5 points lower before an upturn. When they made their upturn, they did it even on bad days like the past 2 (we are having). Your correct that months from now, a point to 3 points doesn't make a big differance. But why rush into buying when all external signs are down? If you bought oracle day one (of the 'crash'), you may have gotten out for 1/2 point profit or so. If you waited a couple days, you could buy it a point or so cheaper. Most people buying the past 2 days are looking not to miss the boat. I'm suggesting at most you should nibble now because its likely the boat will be at shore for some time. What will cause Oracle to resume the up move? Only greed. Otherwise it will drift until a fundemental change comes. I wish you well. Steve D.
