The mortgage deduction is the only significant tax break the middle class has left. How about we leave them alone. We have beat the shit out of them as it is.

How about we start with taking away all the zillions of tax breaks for the rich, corporations and cut defense spending and then work down to the middle class mortgage deduction. By the time we tax the rich, corporations and cut defense we won't need a middle class mortgage deduction.
