Global Villlage PC modem prices have been radically slashed. At ISN, isn.com both the internal and external 56K X2 modems for PC's only have been reduced to $49.99. I'm not sure what to make of this, perhaps GVIL is clearing the channel to make way for the new ITU standard based modems or perhaps they have decided to exit the PC modem business given the intense nature of the price competition. There do not seem to be any price cuts on the MAC side modems at the moment.
