Well, I've been through it twice now, and I still have the problem. The device with the problem flag is a Hi Definition Audio Codec, whatever that is. My system finds it, but the hardware update fails and I cannot start it. Same result if I remove and reboot.

I am getting a little piced because I operated the AVG, AVG tuneup, and Malwarebytes so I would have a faster system, and now I have a slower system with no sound.

I might see if Microsoft has a device driver for it.
