My experience with the religious side of life is obviously far different from yours. I count a number of atheists as well as devout Christians and Jews as friends. They are all different, mostly because of the time and place they were raised. I'll go extreme here and say I also have some Republican friends, one of them even watches Fox News. Fortunately he does it mostly for entertainment. One of the wisest men I ever met was a grizzled old Methodist Bishop who provided this colorful admonition: "If someone stands up and says 'God told me to tell you to do something...' Vote with your feet!"
