Hi Dennis:

Well, I don't know about this rally...it's fun on the way up, all
right, but I wonder how it's going to look in the next
correction. Too many stocks are trading at mania-like prices.

AMD seems to be getting some better evaluations from the
analysts so it may pay off yet. I'm back to a little profit again.

I've been holding Westinghouse since it was a 9 dollar dog of
the Dow and it's coming to life now, 18 5/8 today, and the
guest commentator on the NBR tonight says it's his favorite
Dow stock as it's turned around. Hope he's right.

Then Seagram announce another stock buyback so that's
up about 40% over my cost basis...not as good as Intel but
not too bad.

USS is on Value Line's "Timely" stocks now; got that one at
16 and it's over 39 so that was a nice one too.

The only thing is these valuations are kind of outlandish; they
go down as fast as they go up and most of us get stuck holding
the bag. A lot of the financial gurus think a major correction is
coming and I think they've got a point...they're calling this a
market mania and comparing it to '87 but I think the fundamentals
are different this time so I hope we're all wrong on that one.
