I'll never forget that final day. It's etched into my mind. I was in the sixth grade and the principle of our elementary school on Vashon Island walked in and leaned down to whisper in our teachers ear. She gasped and started to cry. We all sat in stunned silence as we all realized something very bad had happened. At least Kennedy kept his cool during the Cuban missile crisis. That saved our bacon. Could not say the same for the General of the Air Force. McCain just wants to go in with all guns blasting... Shoot from the hip before thinking. No wonder he crashed so many planes while he was in the Navy. Four of them. You have to think... before you act. Especially when flying aircraft.
