Something on this thread has puzzled me for some time now. I have read many posters say that the US central bank has not sold any gold within the past few months/years. Since these fellows always do everything in secrecy how do we know they haven't sold a great deal. Can we trust them? Not me! It seems to me they could sell the entire stockpile and we wouldn't know about it unless they decided to tell us. If that statement is true (and I don't know if it is) they certainly would not make any public announcement. Does anyone have any authority to audit these gold reserves? Your comments would be welcome.
