HI henry,

Wrong chart copied - should've used shorter time period:

screencast.com

Speaking of F&P book:

Page 39 figures 27 and 28,the first of two "irregular flats is discussed and it seems to fit here.

Continued on page 40:
In the first type, wave B of the 3-3-5 pattern terminates beyond the starting point of wave A,and wave C beyond the end of wave A.

Using Henry's roadmap Wave A started at 1847.50 and finished at 1824.58

Wave B exceeded wave A's start at 1847.50 on fridays high of 1867.92.

So not only should we be looking at fib retracement numbers, but we might also be given an opportunity to buy in as the end of wave A (1824.58) is exceeded by the low of wave C.

The nature of this wave is one of what I call a whiplash wave. Healthy by achieving new highs and then scary by achieving a new low. I suspect this will be a quick, fast traveling wave - watching the swings of vix may be another approach.

Fast and vicious volatility just before a nice solid run up with wave 5 - no doubt has shaking out the weak holders in mind.

Time to buckle up here gents.

Might be time to buy the dip (if 1824.58 is reached) for me.

Am I on your roadmap now?
