Koreans refer to Dec 3, the date an IMF agreement was supposedly reached by the government about to be vote out of office, as "national humiliation day".

Your cited article is dated Dec 5. The impact is just now being felt in Korea by ordinary people. The impact of the coming Default will really be notice.

I expect cell phone purchases in Korea to almost totally stop for a number of months.
