The more that I look at Netflix and HBO, the more convinced I am that Time Warner is the real gem.

The comparisons of Netflix and HBO ignore one big fact: Netflix owns very little content whereas HBO is sitting on a goldmine of content that it has thus far refused to fully monetize. Netflix has tried for years to license HBO content, but HBO has always refused.

HBO currently generates approx. $2 billion annual EBITDA. But how much could it grow its EBITDA if it simply began to license shows like:
* Game of Thrones
* Sopranos
* Entourage
* Sex and the City, and many, many others
