I heard some scientists say that we could turn Mars into an inhabitable planet by pumping trillions of tonnes of CO2 into the Mars atmosphere.

It's a cute idea low on reality - since mars has no magnetic core (no magnetic field) any atmosphere is blown off the planet by solar winds. Not to mention the radiation.
