Sounds like your local quickie lube joint is charging quite the premium for their oil collection service. I go to Jiffie Lube and looking over my last invoice (last Saturday) they don't show a seperate charge for the service. As I recall from previous discussions, oil recyclers can get the oil for free, charge for taking it away, or in some marketsthey pay a few cents per gallon for it. The price of diesel is pretty high in this part of the country, higher than regular gasoline at my local service station in fact. But the numbers you are using seem a bit on the high side. Actually I would think the margin is probably somewhat less than half the amount you cite. But even at that level a nice return for whomever has one of the machines. John John
