Watched 42, the Jackie Robinson Story last week. Was interesting how much nicer the homes in the segregated 100% black community in three central Florida towns were back in 1946 when Jackie was down at spring training for the minor league club of the Dodgers and could not stay at the same hotel as everybody else. I mean this was during segregation, pre civil rights, pre welfare, coming out of the Great Depression and WW 2.. Today most of it is a war zone unfortunately.. Thank you both LBJ and Ronnie all IMHO..
