| I haven't see Nebraska yet, one of the few (2) that were up for best picture that I didn't see yet. I will, it's near the top of my list, but I'm a fan of Bruce Dern also. I remember seeing him in some old 60's tv series and I just looked him up in IMDB and found out that among others, he was in Route 66, Naked City, Sea Hunt, Boris Karloff's Thriller, Ben Casey, The Outer limits, 77 Sunset Strip, Alfred Hitchcock Hour, Wagon Train, The Virginian, The Fugitive, etc. I remember him in Hang 'Em High - he was part of the gang that lynched Clint Eastwood - but he was also in Marnie, Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte, The Trip, Will Penny, Drive He Said, Pat Garret and Billy the Kid, King of Marvin Gardens and on and on and on. My favorite role of his was in Hitchcock's Family Plot, a comedy with Karen Black. He must be what now passes for old Hollywood. |
