The Chinese situation is reported to be up to two hundred billion in non performing loans. How Japan and China respond to this is certainly of some concern to all of us. I have been saying for two years that there are deflationary forces at work in the global economy. I've also never experienced the downside of this phenomena. If these Asian markets start cranking out products in markets that are grossly oversupplied already we may all get to see a deflationary spiral first hand. Maybe that's why Buffet went to bonds.
