For what its worth. I live a few miles from Iomega and recently bought a removable storage device for work. The winner was a Syquest Sparq portable drive. I heavily based my decision on the performance differences between the Iomega products and Syquest's. I've been unsuccessful in finding an internal drive for my home pc (sold out). I'm trying to buy it for Christmas. I can't find the SparQ (external or internal) in any local stores. It seems that Syquest is slow to market with the SparQ. I think they would have sold like hotcakes if placed in front of Christmas shoppers. I haven't met one person that has heard of the SparQ (including local PC salesmen) but everybody knows the Zip.
