Why not? AIPN is going to be forced to raise money one way or the other. Taking on a partner reduces the total expense and plus gives them the added cash to work with. I still think that Hunt Oil will be the JV. I believe the loan or whatever was more than what it appears to be.

Nowadays, oil companies tend to bring in partners to develop projects. However they can finance these programs and make a discovery. AIPN is not as fortunate in that regard. They don't have the money to fund a 5 well program for now. However they could sign a tiered agreement based on discovery's that would be in line with the risk. So much upfront and escalates if and when the reserves are proven.
