Yes, but a felony DUI or sexual assault is a violent crime, not merely a crime of possession. In most states today there is some quantity of marijuana beyond which it is considered to be a felony. Some states say > 28g (1oz), while others put that figure much higher. But it makes no sense at all to destroy someone's future for possession of a damned harmless weed.

I was in possession of more than 1 oz of marijuana which was a felony in this state at that time.
