Then the Israelites tried to rewrite their history, being subjects of the Hellenes who taught them the value of histories, so let the myth-story building begin!
This would be just like later Christians who trying to distance themselves from their Jewish rootball, went on massive propaganda rewrites of their own, to fit the prophecies to the events. It also involved massive persecutions which of course started by just the signing of the pen, what simpleton belief was held & what was heresy, which first & foremost meant persecution of all Pagans & Jews.
