I signed up for one several years ago.

The one I took had price guarantee - price locked in for a year.

First year was more expensive; the next was actually less comparing to a relatives bill.

I other words it varied - without careful examination of all my bills it is hard to say and I that time my home has become much more energy efficient

So even if it costs a few percent more I would consider it worth it - alternative energy should be encouraged, no? If for nothing else strategic benefits of reducing dependence on hydrocarbon energy.
