Re: Parity Plus Users?

Anyone still following this thread? I just pulled out my Parity Plus 1.5 Diskette and installed it on a Win 95 machine. Seems to work well, but I didn't exercise it. Ironically, I haven't used the program for a while, because when I upgraded a machine from Win 3.1 to Windows for Workgroups 3.11 (am I dating myself here?), P+ stopped working.

I used to converse with Paul Rickert, the creator of the program. At the time (early '90s), I had no doubt this was the best EOD package out there. Paul had been working on Version 2.0, but Computer Associates orphaned its Realizer development environment (Realizer was, from what I understand, similar to Visual Basic, which became the 800-pound gorilla of rapid Windows development). This, combined with a tepid market response meant the end of upgrades.

I wonder if ParTech is lurking out there. :-)

I never excerised the program much, but I want to start playing with the system testing features. I know of other SI members who use the package.

Would like to discuss Parity or P+ with anyone interested.
