It's fun to have guessed right...if I could go
back in time and buy 100 puts instead of the five
140's I have that would be pretty neat. I expect
there will be a lot of stuffed shirts proclaiming
how unimortant the ruling is...but I'll guess
that the Justice department will prevail on the
contempt issue too...and MSFT will probably have
to cough up a couple 100M...so we might see that
get built into the price of the stock by the May31
deadline for the report. Actually, I dont think
the ruling precludes the possibility that the Judge
might find MSFT in contempt sooner...he just forstalled
that today. I obviously am not a lawyer...but
that is how I interpreted the assistant attn
generals comments on Digital Jam.

I'll probably cash out after MSFT drops ten bucks
a share. With the five grand I hope to make I'll
buy a cool PII and run Corel Wordperfect...which
is bundled with Netscape 3.0...I'll be sure to buy
it from a company that sells it configured that
way...which a lot of the better-value machine
builders already do.

Oh, by the way, why does Netscape 3 run so much
faster than IE? I get a lot more death spirals
using IE than Netsape, very odd.

P.S I am not crazy...buying a new PC instead of
going to the tropics--I just got back from
Tahiti. My current PC is a 486...14" monitor,
and as you can see by the extra spaces,
unless I hit the backspace key alot, even
the keyboard is crapping out. (I willl
keep my Kensigton trackball however)
...anybody want to buy a 486? ha ha
