Merrill Lynch rates the stock a buy (dec 4 @ 34.5) and has a 12 month price obj of $50. Expects earnings to be 1.75to1.85 in 1998 (1.38 for 1997) They say stock is down on concerns over exposure to the networking industry (32% sales) and teh workstation/server companies (21% sales). They think (and I do too) that long term opportunities for solectron are abundant. Wish this dern market would settle down. (Asian flu ?) Good investing to all! Tom
