Actually, I'm a social liberal. I don't like GOP policies on that front at all. I find their social policies to be an invasion of our civil rights. For example, I think it is terrible how they mix religion and politics and how the Evangelists have take over the party. Our government is supposed to respect all religions and this country should be for the freedom of religion. Also, I am for gay marriage. Even more so, I don't believe the government has any business in defining marriage at all. That's a personal issue between two consenting adults. I find that the IRS and other government institutions create all sorts of rules that are absolutely a destruction of our Liberties. To address your post more directly, here's what I find somewhat irritating. Whenever I bring up legitimate issues with Obama, the standard response is "the GOP is worse". Well, of course they can be. However, that doesn't at all excuse what Obama is doing. So it's no defense and no response at all to say the GOP is worse. Fact is the GOP is not in power now. Let's focus on who is.
