Gold Mining stocks have in the past enjoyed a very powerful slingshot effect when gold made a definitive move up. I think it is about to happen again. Not necessarily the big cap mining stocks, though. There are a bunch of smaller companies that have pared down their production costs so that they will enjoy the biggest jumps. NGD is the one I know the most about. And generally speaking, investing in what you know about is the best idea.
