<best government governs least">

Agree, both domestically and internationally.... unfortunately it is not clear who is best at that due to complete blinders by both wings..... there are many great truths that both R and L should be paying attention to:

LWingNutz:

bartleby.com

monticello.org

"A good leader is best when people barely know he exists."
"When a good leader is done and accomplishments are measured the people will say, "we did this ourselves".
"When there are restrictions in the world, people become more impoverished & people have more cleaver tricks and therefor more strange things occur."
"the more laws are posted, the more robbers and thieves appear"
"When leaders don't interfere, people enrich themselves."
"ruling a large country is like cooking a small fish, too much poking ruins it"

RWingNutz:

"Rushing into action you fail, forcing an action to false completion, you ruin what was almost ripe".
"The masterful person takes action by letting things take their own course."
"Their is no greater mistake than underestimating your enemy, underestimating your enemy means thinking that he is evil."
"When two great forces oppose each other, the victory goes to the one who knows how to yield."
"A strong military is a tool of misfortune and not of honorable people, when using it out of necessity calm detachment should prevail, victory should be without glory, but rather the realization that it was unfortunate that force was necessary."
"When there are many sharp weapons in the world, the people become more chaotic, the more laws are posted, the more robbers and thieves appear"
"When government is non-judgemental, people are simple and honest, when government is judgmental and scrutinizing people are shrewd and crafty (put under left wing too)."
"In governing, the righteous become strange"
"When governing people and serving heaven there is nothing like conservation."
"A small country placing itself lower than the large one, can take the large one and vice versa, therefore place your country below others, don't lord above them"
"Great generals are not warlike, great warriors do not get angry, those that are good at defeating enemies do not engage them."
"Successful generals would rather withdraw a foot than advance an inch, so when evenly matched armies meet, the compassionate side will win."

So one has to make a choice..... and after 2 wars that clearly made no sense, the rational electorate went the other way and chose Obama... now perhaps they go the other way, who knows. If republicans kept their nose on domestic policy and fiscal conservatism they would do themselves great benefit.... continuing to beat the drums of intolerance both socially and internationally is their downfall.

the way it is, who knows.... it's the Libertarians who are the only hope, and neither side seems to get it. your inability to see this point is why I think your nothing but a wingnut... matters not which side. Prove me wrong and tell me the wars were wrong, as is any notion of running into Syria or Ukraine, and I'll renounce your "wingnutdom"- LOL
