I'm interested in your take on USRX/COMS as they appear to be left out in the cold, or not? An apparent coming ratification of 56KFlex technology is a big plus for Lucent and Rockwell into ITU specs. is big news today.

What are your talking about, Larry? Contrary to Rockwell's rhetoric, Lucent clearly stated that there was an equal mix of both protocols adopted into the draft standard. How do you figure that is a ratification of 56KFlex [sic]?

I believe 3Com and Lucent cut a deal to make it happen. They're the guys with the code, and the best hardware implementations of 56k. The 3-legged K56Flex horse (MOT/LU/ROK) now has only one leg. We'll see how well they (ROK and minions) adopt and adapt to the ITU standard.
