You are looking at this through rose colored glasses because you don't want to see the truth - as an ideologue it bothers you I suspect that conservatives are to blame. Clearly there is blame to go around, but those nasty little instruments of destruction that were bundled by GS weren't something created by congress or people buying a house they shouldn't have. If you buy a house you shouldn't have, some one will make a nice profit on it when it gets foreclosed on and is sold in front of the court house. What there was was hype hype hype. People rich and poor using their home as a cash machine all because of too easy money. Then GS to get rid of shit they knew was junk bundled the paper and in a frenzy of greed lied about the stuff and sold it to people who didn't understand what they were buying. ..........And Mindmeld is right - Obama should have held these guys responsible.
