I download all my books. It has been several years since I used any library books.
I manually track my reading.

My current system evolved over the years and I added Header subdirs and Year and e for ebooks only. Also started author inits for already read.

I have a subdir per author and there I create a subdir per book. Also Header Subdirs ie SH00=Safehold This is for book series like SafeHold series by david weber. Each book is SHnn+title + means I have audiobook. I also add date of book pub to end of title. Sometimes I can only find an ebook so title become. SHnn+titleYEARe Sometimes I create subdir place holders SHnn-title - means I don't have it yet.

All Novels start a Nnn+titleYEAR

For sum period of time I have been adding author inits to end of subdir name to mark books I've loaded to my MP3 player. I have ten to 13 title at a time on the MP3 player.

I also have created programs for file naming and metadate tagging that also generate a m3u playlist file.

In that I really like listening to series, the library is not a good place for me to get titles.
