It would be best that the authorities clear up the mystery and detail the technology aspect of disappearing a large passenger jet. In the meantime all air-travel is suspect It now takes 8 hours to go by high-speed rail from Canton to Beijing that would normally be covered by a 3-hours plane ride plus 2-hours wait time added on top of 2-4 hours of city travels. It is relatively more difficult to lose track of a train because of the track. The cost for the plane journey is around usd 200 by plane plus local commute, and usd 50 city center to city center.
