I started out a very ignorant kid. All I knew was that I was ignorant, but I did not know what that meant.

I first had to get my bearings. I didn't know where to search so I just started reading the smartest people in the world to see how they saw things.

The first two years I found out I was an existentialist. I didn't even know what that was and there I was being one. I also learned everyone was nuts. That took a lot of pressure off of me.

After a while I got bored with philosophy and other social sciences and started on the physics. I realized that was the edge of knowledge. I understand very little of what I read, but I keep going. 15 years now and all I know is that is where the magic is.

I sort of know the basics.

But the nice thing is that quantum physics presents a picture of a universe that makes sense to me e.g. the extent and complexity the idea of a multiverse portends.

The universe most people think of would be way too small and simplistic for sentient beings to exist in, let alone gods.

And even I can fathom 13.8 billion years, so I am sure using probability that what we normally think of as the universe is nothing but a speck of sand to the reality.
