That was my strong suspicion when I encountered this several times. It just seemed like the website didn't want to allow copying from it, and that this was done by design.

If I remember correctly, I believe this applies not only to the URL in the address bar but sometimes also to the website contents.

I'll have to study this more carefully the next time I encounter it. I'll play around with trying to copy the URL versus copying some content on the web page, and also with copying it using keyboard shortcuts versus right clicking the mouse and using the drop down menu. And a cold boot to reset things.

The context menu Re-enabled tool that you referenced. Is this only available for Chrome? I use Internet Explorer as my browser and have never used Chrome or any of the others.
