Well, everyone has his two cents, but the truth is TARP probably saved our collective bacon. And the structure of it was such that the public was harmed [much] by the downsides of it. I didn't like it at the time but realize now that Bush made the right decision on it.

Of course, I was confused -- I thought it was a lot of money. After I learned, only months later, that Chauncey Gardner could take office and use more than the TARP money to pay off his political supporters, I realized what real money is.
