The premium on my supplemental policy to Medicare has increase by $5 a month.

That's nice. How much did sugar cane go up?

Neither has anything to do with my post on obamacare's rising costs.

AAR, try to spin this one:

One Third of Uninsured Plan To Avoid Obamacare

According to a new study published on Bankrate.com about a third of uninsured Americans have no intention of signing up for Obamacare. 41% of those people cite cost as their chief obstacle another 17% will avoid Obamacare because they don't like the bill.

30% of the uninsured realize that federal tax credits available through the new Obamacare health exchanges can make health insurance affordable to lower-income individuals and families, 29% were unaware and 41% refused to answer.

Other highlights:
  • 42 percent of people who identify themselves as Republicans say there are no tax credits, compared with 20 percent of Democrats and 33 percent of independents.
  • Only 5 percent of Americans earning $75,000 per year or more knew about the tax credits, versus 30 percent of those making less than $30,000.
  • 35 percent of people in both the West and South say the tax credits don't exist, compared with 25 percent in the Northeast and just 13 percent in the Midwest.
"This is a staggeringly high percentage," said Bankrate.com insurance analyst Doug Whiteman. "The government has spent over half a billion dollars promoting the Affordable Care Act, and more than two-thirds of uninsured Americans still don't know about the subsidies." This proves that not did the government fail at taking over 16% of the economy, but they failed at marketing their products also. The problem is not the Obama administration's implementation per se, it's the failure of the progressive movement to understand that Government isn't (and cannot be) set up to run a business or industry efficiently.

The entire scope of Obamacare, from product through marketing, is proof of government's inability to understand how a business works.
