Shalom Hepzibah -- you ask: "where have I encountered you before?" Well, I don't know. There is another Carlos in SI -- I am "C. Carlos." Maybe you met the other Carlos in another forum. But back to the investment subject. I am successful in what I do for a living (not boasting, just stating a fact) and invest in the stockmarket as a hobby. After pondering many investment alternatives, I have come to the conclusion that the most secure investment is neither gold, real estate nor US Government obligations, but an account in Heaven. The accounting system there, however, is contrary to ours and will most definitely not be sanctioned by the FASB. In order to increase your account balance in Heaven you MUST GIVE on Earth. Give to the needy, afflicted and broken hearted. Give them goods and consolation. And... What consolation could be better than knowing that Jesus can help us with any, and I mean ANY, of our problems? I don't know the symbol for stock in Heaven, but don't bother to find out, because the price is not quoted in dollars; the price was already paid in full with a red, life-giving liquid substance which flowed from the body of a righteous jew: the blood of Jesus. Yes, my brother, it is good to know Jesus! So, if we really want to balance our portfolio, we should definitely consider the most secure, and longest term, investment that exists.
