trying not to get scared off by how they issue equity and debt to fund distributions - seems like a toxic combo imo - but never the less i think prudent mlps can provide some long term value. to be honest, I am not sure why you would want to try hard to get comfortable with MLPs that cannot cover their distribution. Personally, if they cannot, I would want to spend a LOT of time understanding why they will be able to cover the distribution in the near future. you are correct it is a very toxic combination. a prudent MLP as you note will not have this issue. best, Geo
