No one whose name ends in 'i' is qualified to be a Classics professor. Or anything else that requires dignity and credibility. I am a good Catholic girl who loved languages and did take 6 years of Latin. Honesty compels me to report I misused the adjective -erubescunda is 'embarrassing'rather than 'embarrassed'-although I guess my husband might say it's appropriate at times. As for Prudhomme, his little picture is on some spice for blackened steak in my cabinet. He just looks very official and knowledgable. I do have a great cheat recipe for shrimp etouffee-that's as creole as I can get. You distract me with details!! The point was-I think--although who remembers?-that the religious element and some offensively irreverent types seem unable to stay out of each other's kitchens. They remind me of my two boys --pick, pick, pick. Well, I can't do anything about them, either. So I'm off to enjoy a truly beautiful day in real life and hope you are all doing the same! penelope
