Yes, this is all true IMHO. BUT, there is a more fundamental truth that underlies where the USA is at present in these matter, a truth that a nice guy like Romney will not point out publicly and straightforwardly:
That more fundamental truth, the truth that stymies any approach to solving problems like Ukraine, Iran, N.Korea, Syria, etc., is that Obama lacks the sense and the backbone to do what needs to be done, IN EVERY CASE. And to compound that truth, BO gathers around himself assistants who are themselves inherently weak and ineffective.
The Obamacare initiative is a good example of that. He appointed a women who cannot lead to manage the development of his namesake program - and now that failure is rife throughout every aspect of the mess, these women run for cover, and he doesn't have backbone enough to summarily fire them, and put people in place with a track record of success. He would rather keep the waters smooth, not admitting that anything is going wrong, and avoiding the taking of necessary steps to correct the the mess.
Same story in foreign affairs. Appointing Hillary and then Kerry to SecState position is a joke. Both were political moves, meant to polish up their "experience" portfolios. What he needs is a man like John Bolton, a man who understands the world for what is is, not living in some dream world of "negotiation can solve everything; we just need to be more flexible".
When your top leader is an unrealistic fool lacking in courage, your country is in big trouble. And we are.
