My son in law has a PHD in atmospheric chemistry and teaches physics at a northwestern university. He and I have discussed the idea of a multiverse many times. I was more the believer.

It was really a stupid discussion on my part, as he knows a zillion times more than I about physics.

But the idea of a multiverse just made sense to me and the folks I read on physics says the math and physics leads to that?

So he just sent me the below. I have no idea the relevance between gravity waves and a multiverse. I will have to talk to him about that.

Hi Chuck - I assume you have seen this, but if you haven't this could be the biggest news in astrophysics in a long time...

my son in law

PS you may be right about the multi-verse thing...
