Episodes has been a series anomaly for me. It has traveled an inverse pathway compared to many other series. Quite often I get all jazzed up by a new series but as the seasons go on it seems to deviate from my initial attractions. The characters often become more cartoon-like, and I lose interest - it jumps the shark so to speak, and I wander away.

Episodes has done the opposite. At first I just muddled along with it. It seemed a bit over the top and filled with easy Hollywood cliches that are easy to lampoon.

The third season just finished and I have to say there is a very funny crew of people writing the show. The last episode was excellent - great ending. Lots of good laughs. Of course, I'm a sucker for humorous shows as you know, so there's that caveat. It also helps that I'm a fan of the English actor Stephen Mangan. His delivery of lines is hysterical. The actress that plays his wife has some great lines as well.
